Computing - What parts make up a digital device?

Image
In today’s Computing lesson, Year 3 have been thinking again about digital devices. Last week we learnt that all digital devices have an input and an output and that they process commands. Today, we had the chance to design our very own digital devices! There were some brilliant ideas and inventions on show.

Science - What are fossils?

Image
Today we explored fossils - learning about what they are, how they form, and the two main types; body and trace.  The children conducted their own research, identifying key facts and diagrams, before presenting it as a fact file. I was absolutely blown away by their hard work, persistence and independence today. Well done to both classes!

French: Celebrating the European Day of Languages: German

Image
Year 3 celebrated the European Day of Languages today during their French lesson. This is an annual event,  generally celebrated on the 26th of September.  As we have a variety of languages spoken in our school, a language relevant to a child in each year group was chosen.  Year 3 found out about Germany  and German. They counted to 10 in German, coloured in the German flag, learnt some German greetings, identified Germany on a map of Europe and then created a factfile with some interesting facts.
