2022-24 Year 3 Blog

 This week in Art Year 3 have explored a new artist. We looked into the life and work of famous Artist Frida Kahlo and we used one of her still life drawings as the main focus of our lesson. 

 This week we have been looking at handball (played on your bottom) and circuit training. 

 Take a look at all of our wonderful learning this week across Year 3. In English we have been looking at how we can describe our feelings and emotions and being bossy with imperative verbs. In Maths, we have been identifying patterns and creating our own.

 Here are our photos from the week. We have been practising our basic skills and refining our ability to pass a ball in different situations. 

 This half term year 3 are going to explore the artists Giovanna Garzoni and Frida Kahlo. Both artists are inspired by fruit therefore we began our first lesson by looking at the importance of healthy eating and we created an illustrated food chart in our sketch books. Next lesson we will look at our first Artist Giovanna Garzoni and research facts about her.
